Volleyball Recap: Carmel Greyhounds vs. Franklin Central Flashes
Carmel posted their closest win since April 24th on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Franklin Central Flashes 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Flashes back in April, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.
Eli Philistin-Lynch paced Carmel's offense, picking up 14 kills. Philistin-Lynch got some help from Shepard Spidel and his 30 assists. Finally, Jack Kovak kept Carmel's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
With the victory, Carmel broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-11-1. As for Franklin Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-9.
