Flag Football Recap: Effingham County Takes a Loss

Effingham County suffered their biggest loss since October 19, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Calvary Day Cavaliers, falling 45-21. The Rebels were down 38-12 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

When it comes to explaining why Effingham County lost, don't look at Jada Praylo. Despite the final result, she picked up 60 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and one TD. Praylo was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.

Effingham County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2. As for Calvary Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Effingham County and Calvary Day will both be playing Groves the next time they take the field. The Rebels will head out to face the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Cavaliers will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
