Basketball Recap: Sylacauga Takes a Loss

Sylacauga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 56-18 to the Briarwood Christian Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-18 on Thursday.

Sylacauga's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Briarwood Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

Sylacauga is taking a road trip to face off against Shelby County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Central of Clay County at 5:30 p.m. Briarwood Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 171 points over their last three matches.
