Ayden - Grifton came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Farmville Central Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ayden - Grifton took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Ashlynn Overby paced Ayden - Grifton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Overby got some help from Olivia Baker and her 18 assists. Lainy Evans controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Meanwhile, Farmville Central (ranked 162nd) will meet Northwood (ranked 328th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
