Football Recap: Washington Wildcats vs. Wyandotte Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atchison, Washington was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Wyandotte Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-0 win on the road. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 45 points or more this season.
Roman Couch had a dynamite game for Washington, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. The dominant performance gave Couch a new career-high in rushing yards. Darreon Baskin did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 91 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Washington's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Xavier Groves and Zayvion Hayslett, who racked up all four sacks between them.
Washington pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wyandotte, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
