Football Recap: Faith Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Fairhope + How To Watch

Faith Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Fairhope Pirates 41-6. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Bryon Martin was a one-man wrecking crew For Fairhope. as he picked up 93 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 68 yards and one TD. Those 93 receiving yards gave Martin a new career-high. Trey Garner was another key player, throwing for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes.

The win got Fairhope back to even at 1-1.

Faith Academy and Fairhope will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams are set to face off against their familiar foe Citronelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairhope will take on rival Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
