Football Recap: Faith Academy Falls to Fairhope in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Faith Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 41-6 loss at the hands of the Fairhope Pirates on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Eli Quinley threw for 81 yards on 12 of 21 attempts. Kobe Hunt was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards. On the ground, Theo Jackson rushed for 40 yards and one TD.

Bryon Martin had a dynamite game For Fairhope., picking up 92 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 68 yards and one score. Those 92 receiving yards gave Martin a new career-high. Trey Garner was another key player, throwing for 132 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes.

The victory got Fairhope back to even at 1-1.

Faith Academy and Fairhope will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams will challenge rival Citronelle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fairhope is set to square off against their familiar foe Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
