Volleyball Recap: Longmont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Longmont can now relate to. They came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders on Saturday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Roughriders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Evie Mumm paced Longmont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mumm were helped by Abril Perez and Charlie Edson, who contributed 14 assists each. Finally, Jillian Updegraff kept Longmont's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Longmont's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Roosevelt, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Longmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roosevelt, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Green Mountain on the 8th.
