Recap: Brooks County Trojans vs. Colquitt County Packers
On Friday, Brooks County lost to Colquitt County at home by a decisive 66-48 margin. Brooks County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brooks County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Demarrion Washington, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Washington pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camauri Brinson, who scored eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Colquitt County, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.
Brooks County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Turner County at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th. Turner County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Brooks County likes a good challenge. As for Colquitt County, they will be playing at home against Cairo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
