Volleyball Recap: Yonkers Takes a Loss

Yonkers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Ursuline Koalas. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Koalas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Yonkers started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.

Yonkers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ursuline, they pushed their record up to 8-4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Yonkers will host Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Ursuline, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Nyack on the 9th.
