Softball Recap: North Mesquite Comes Up Short

The North Mesquite Stallions came up short against the Turner Lions on Monday, falling 18-2. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Mesquite saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savanah Oden, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Oden also got a hit, marking her first of the season.

North Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Turner, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, North Mesquite will take on Hillcrest in a tournament on Thursday. As for Turner, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions challenge the Cougars at 6:45 p.m. on March 4th.
