Baseball Preview: Hillcrest Knights vs. Shelley Russets
Hillcrest is 9-1 against Shelley since April of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Hillcrest Knights will be playing at home against the Shelley Russets at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Hillcrest pushed their score all the way to ten on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Idaho Falls by a score of 12-10. Even though they lost, Hillcrest's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Brayden Nickels made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Lincoln Stallings was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
