Softball Recap: Elmwood Park Comes Up Short

The Elmwood Park Crusaders came up short against the Union City Soaring Eagles on Saturday, falling 12-2. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elmwood Park saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Balistrieri, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Balistrieri has brought in this season.

Elmwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Union City, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elmwood Park will face off against Butler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union City, they will challenge Hoboken at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
