Softball Recap: Pickerington North's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Pickerington North was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Ella Howe tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julia Deely, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. Sami Whitcraft also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

With the victory, Pickerington North broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-13. As for Thomas Worthington, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickerington North will be taking part in a tournament against Upper Arlington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Thomas Worthington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dublin Scioto at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
