Basketball Game Preview: Jemez Valley Warrior vs. Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue

The Jemez Valley Warrior will head out on the road to face off against the Roy/Mosquero Blue/Lady Blue at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jemez Valley will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Jemez Valley lost 60-34 to McCurdy on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roy/Mosquero). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat New Mexico School for the Deaf 72-34. Given the Blue/Lady Blue's advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Roadrunners are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jemez Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Roy/Mosquero, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Jemez Valley was taken down by Roy/Mosquero 62-26 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Jemez Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
