Baseball Recap: Bristol Comes Up Short

If Bristol was riding high fresh off their 19-0 takedown of The Christian Academy on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors lost 19-4 to the Harry S. Truman Tigers on Saturday. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cole Guy put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2025. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as he's now launched at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

In other batting news, Joey Ortiz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Bristol's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Harry S. Truman, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristol will host Morrisville at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harry S. Truman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Council Rock North at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.55 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
