League recap: Hobart's Murray delivers best pitching performance from past week

Northwest Crossroads league recap: 5/21/12

Northwest Crossroads's top pitcher this week was Hobart's Brandon Murray. He picked up one win and 20 strikeouts.

Nick Bokun was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .636 average, one home run and five RBIs. His the Brickies team went 3-1.

Hobart's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 15 hits and 15 walks, both of which led the league. The Brickies' pitchers have been charged with only 130 hits and have struck out 251 batters. Murray is tops on the staff with 103 Ks.

Hobart, the season leader in runs scored at 211, added to its total with a league-high 34 runs this week. Tyrus Joseforsky leads the team with 35 runs scored and Bokun has a team-high 28 RBIs on the year.

Bryan Thomas led the league with seven hits this week for Lowell. He is sixth in the league with 22 hits this year, and has a .338 batting average.
