Recap: Auburn Tigers vs. Valley Rams

Even though the Valley Rams scored an imposing 70 points on Friday, the Auburn Tigers still came out on top. Auburn managed a 75-70 victory over Valley. The win made it back-to-back wins for Auburn.

Leading Auburn to victory were Jordan Franklin and Antwane Daniels. Franklin scored nine points along with seven assists and seven rebounds, while Daniels scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Daniels posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Tabari Allen, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.

Auburn pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Valley, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Handley at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Handley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Auburn is ranked 30th). Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Troup County at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Troup County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
