Basketball Recap: Evergreen's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Evergreen lost to Sultan back in January of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Evergreen Wolverines rang in the new year with a 60-52 victory over the Sultan Turks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Evergreen's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7. As for Sultan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Inglemoor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Inglemoor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63 points per game this season. As for Sultan, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
