Soccer Game Preview: Bishop McDevitt vs. Trinity

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders will head out to challenge the Trinity Shamrocks at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop McDevitt's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bishop McDevitt had taken Central Dauphin East down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bishop McDevitt came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Central Dauphin East are ranked 387th).

Meanwhile, Trinity waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Blue Raiders. Surprisingly, this marked Trinity's fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Bishop McDevitt's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Trinity, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
