Basketball Recap: Clay-Battelle Falls Short of East Hardy in the Playoffs

Clay-Battelle and East Hardy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Clay-Battelle had to settle for second. They lost to the Cougars on the road by a 51-34 margin. The game marked the Cee-Bees' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Evan Hamilton was his usual excellent self, shooting 44% from the field en route to 20 points and five steals for East Hardy. Hamilton has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Jordan Teets was another key player, putting up 14 points.

With the loss, Clay-Battelle broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-7. As for East Hardy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
