Baseball Recap: Willows Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pierce on Friday, Willows came back down to earth. The Honkers came up short against the Winters Warriors on Tuesday, falling 8-2. The Honkers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Clint Girard was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Willows' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Winters, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

While Willows had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
