Soccer Game Preview: Midd-West vs. Warrior Run

Midd-West is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Warrior Run is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will welcome the Defenders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Midd-West is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Central Mountain just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Midd-West couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Nathan Horst, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Warrior Run's match on Wednesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Shamokin Area. Warrior Run might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Midd-West's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1-1 and their overall record down to 13-2-1. As for Warrior Run, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1.

Everything went Midd-West's way against Warrior Run in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Midd-West made off with a 4-0 win. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Defenders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
