Basketball Recap: Alta Vista Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Alta Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 58-28 loss at the hands of the Tri-City Christian Academy Warriors. The Lobos were down 41-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Tri-City Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Trisdan Moreland, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Moreland is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of James Henry, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Alta Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Alta Vista will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Academy with Community Partners at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-City Christian Academy, they will challenge El Dorado at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
