Research Triangle is 1-7 against NCSSM: Durham since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Research Triangle turned things around against Carolina Friends on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Quakers by a score of 4-2. Considering Research Triangle's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Carolina Friends with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Payton Parker (2), Kaelyn Wise-Quick, and Avery Hardister.

Meanwhile, NCSSM: Durham had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three last Tuesday. They blew past the Phoenix 8-4. The result was nothing new for NCSSM: Durham, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

NCSSM: Durham's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. As for Research Triangle, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9-1.
