Football Recap: Grants Pass Beats Sherwood for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Grants Pass rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Sherwood Bowmen 35-32. For the Cavemen, this counts as revenge for the 53-29 win the Bowmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2015.

Despite the loss, Sherwood still got an impressive performance from Jack Wilson, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards.

The victory (which was Grants Pass' third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games. As for Sherwood, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Grants Pass will take on Lake Oswego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavemen will need to watch out since the Lakers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Sherwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
