Baseball Recap: Admiral Farragut Victorious

Admiral Farragut proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the BlueJackets have posted since March 4, 2024.

Admiral Farragut's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Noah Anderson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The BlueJackets are undefeated when Anderson posts two or more runs, but 1-10 otherwise.

Admiral Farragut's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Admiral Farragut will take on Northside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the BlueJackets surely won't give up without a fight. Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
