Baseball Game Preview: Rye Garnets vs. Nyack Indians

For the second straight game, Rye will face off against Nyack. The Garnets will host the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rye has five straight victories, Nyack has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Rye had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Nyack on Monday. The Garnets blew past the Indians 14-1. Considering the Garnets have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Nyack's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Bierfeldt, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Rye's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Nyack, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
