Football Recap: Fernley Skates Past Lowry with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Churchill County, Fernley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Lowry Buckaroos 47-0. That looming 47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vaqueros yet this season.

Keeshawn Love had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 199 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 122 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Stephens, who rushed for 24 yards and one score.

Fernley's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Lowry, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Fernley has already played their next contest, a 50-27 win against Dayton on the 24th. As for Lowry, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-9 loss against Churchill County on the 24th.
