Recap: Woodlands Falcons vs. Tuckahoe Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to The Woodlands Falcons, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 34-20 to Tuckahoe. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodlands in their matchups with Tuckahoe: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Jax Colacicco, who threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Snyder, who picked up 117 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Woodlands' loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-0 Westlake and 8-2 Dobbs Ferry (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.7% over those games). As for Tuckahoe, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Woodlands will head out on the road to face off against Haldane at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Haldane presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Woodlands in New York (Haldane is ranked 230th, while Woodlands is ranked 526th). As for Tuckahoe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dobbs Ferry at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
