Baseball Recap: Smoky Hill Takes a Loss

Smoky Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the Eaglecrest Raptors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Smoky Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate DeMara, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Smoky Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Eaglecrest, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

While Smoky Hill had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
