Basketball Recap: Indian Land Falls Despite Big Games from Charlotte Kemp and Kaitlyn Knoll

Indian Land lost against Fort Mill back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Indian Land Warriors came up short against the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets, falling 46-20. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 48th).

Indian Land's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaitlyn Knoll, who posted two points along with six boards and five steals, and Charlotte Kemp, who earned two points. Knoll has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Fort Mill found their leader in sophomore Colbie Wolf, who put up nine points.

Indian Land has been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Fort Mill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-10.

Indian Land didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-37 defeat against Northwestern on the 14th. As for Fort Mill, they have also already played their next game, a 45-35 win against Nation Ford on the 14th.
