Woodward Academy piles up the points against Forest Park

Recap: Woodward Academy War Eagles vs. Forest Park Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Francis, the Woodward Academy War Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They really took it to Forest Park for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-3 victory at home. With Woodward Academy ahead 45-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Woodward Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Clarke Falconer led the charge by scoring 9 points along with 7 steals. Falconer is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Cooper, who scored 12 points along with 7 assists.

Woodward Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Forest Park, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodward Academy will take on Alcovy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forest Park, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jonesboro at 6:00 p.m. Jonesboro is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
