Softball Game Preview: St. Anthony Yellowjackets vs. Providence Catholic Provets

The St. Anthony Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to take on the Providence Catholic Provets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anthony is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for St. Anthony after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 11-5 to Saint Mary's Hall.

Joahana Robledo-Pe?a made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic came up short against St. Joseph on Saturday, falling 15-1. The Provets haven't had much luck with the Flyers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

St. Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Providence Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went St. Anthony's way against Providence Catholic when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as St. Anthony made off with an 18-2 win. Will St. Anthony repeat their success, or does Providence Catholic has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
