Basketball Recap: Blake Reed's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pansophia Academy over Jackson Preparatory & Early College

Pansophia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 59-42 bruising from the Jackson Preparatory & Early College Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-43 back in December of 2024.

Pansophia Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Blake Reed, who went 6 of 7 to rack up 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.6% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Martinez, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Even though they lost, Pansophia Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Pansophia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Jackson Preparatory & Early College, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pansophia Academy will welcome Litchfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jackson Preparatory & Early College, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Will Carleton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Will Carleton Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Jackson Preparatory & Early College surely won't give up without a fight.
