It's playoff time, and Monroe had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Shelby Golden Lions with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-23. The win was just business as usual for the Redhawks, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Kaegan Chambers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 135 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Zion Lindsey also helped out as he racked up 107 rushing yards.

Monroe's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. As for Shelby, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Monroe didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-15 win against Brevard on the 13th. Shelby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
