Baseball Game Preview: Olmsted Falls Bulldogs vs. Berea-Midpark Titans

The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs will challenge the Berea-Midpark Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Berea-Midpark took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Olmsted Falls, who comes in off a win.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Olmsted Falls nor North Royalton made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bears 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Evan Patrick was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joey Goetz, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, Berea-Midpark came up short against Avon on Thursday and fell 5-1.

Olmsted Falls' win bumped their record up to 4-9-1. As for Berea-Midpark, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Olmsted Falls couldn't quite get it done against Berea-Midpark in their previous meeting on Wednesday as they fell 3-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
