Basketball Recap: South Anchorage Comes Up Short

South Anchorage came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 67-31 defeat at the hands of the West Anchorage Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 64-32 defeat last Friday.

South Anchorage has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. West Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

South Anchorage has already played their next game (against Chugiak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Anchorage, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles face off against the Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Anchorage is facing Bettye Davis East Anchorage at the right time seeing as Bettye Davis East Anchorage is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
