Softball Recap: Vicksburg Comes Up Short

Vicksburg suffered their biggest loss since May 10, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 15-5 to the Unity Christian Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Thursday.

Kayla Chisholm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Ella Luegge was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Vicksburg and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Unity Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Vicksburg will take on Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Unity Christian, they will face off against Spring Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lakers have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season.
