Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Paris' Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Paris unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Greenville Lions. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16.

Mary Grace Gibbons paced Paris' offense, picking up five kills. Gibbons got some help from Riley Nelms and her 11 assists. Clary Biard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lyric Jacobs was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and one assist. Those 12 digs gave her a new career-high.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Greenville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Paris has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lindale on the 19th. As for Greenville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Caddo Mills on the 16th.
