Baseball Game Preview: Churchville-Chili Saints vs. Penfield Patriots

The Churchville-Chili Saints are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Penfield Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Churchville-Chili's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Penfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Churchville-Chili's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Eastridge. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Aaron Reina, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Penfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out Fairport 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since April 2, 2024.

Adam Knight looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
