Baseball Recap: Kirtland Hornets vs. Harvey Red Raiders

Kirtland put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Harvey Red Raiders a 23-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kirtland.

Gino Blasini made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Blasini has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Blasini was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
