Carson has gone 8-1 against San Pedro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Carson will look to defend their home court against San Pedro at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carson barely beat Rancho Dominguez the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Carson blew past Rancho Dominguez 3-0 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Lobos: they've now won seven in a row.

While Carson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, San Pedro was able to grind out a solid victory over Gardena on Monday, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

In the three sets San Pedro was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 24-26, 25-13, 25-12.

The win got San Pedro back to even at 2-2. As for Carson, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Carson took their win against San Pedro in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Carson repeat their success, or does San Pedro has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
