Volleyball Recap: Crestwood Takes a Loss

Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Chagrin Falls Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-9.

JACKIE BLASIOLE paced Crestwood's offense, picking up seven kills. BLASIOLE were helped by REESE HARPER and HALEY PODOJIL, who contributed seven assists each. BLASIOLE also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with MACY DAVIS, each putting up two.

Chagrin Falls can attribute much of their success to Sadie Conrad, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Conrad has posted since back in September of 2024.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Chagrin Falls, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Crestwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Wickliffe on the 2nd. As for Chagrin Falls, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rootstown on the 30th.
