The Mitchell Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Sidney on the road and fell 71-14. Mitchell has struggled against Sidney recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Mitchell got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Addy Bowlin and
Kate Pieper, who each put up five points.
Mitchell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Sidney, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mitchell will square off against Torrington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Torrington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mitchell in their respective states (Torrington is ranked 42nd in Wyoming, while Mitchell is ranked 212th in Nebraska). As for Sidney, they will head out on the road to face off against Ogallala on Friday.
