Volleyball Recap: Annenberg Comes Up Short at Home Against Lake Balboa College Prep

Annenberg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-10 in the first set.

Annenberg started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-10, 15-7.

The victory got Lake Balboa College Prep back to even at 1-1.

Annenberg will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Downtown Magnets at 3:30 p.m. on September 10. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they are taking a road trip to take on Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
