Baseball Recap: Magee Comes Up Short

Magee was the 5-3 winner over North Forrest when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Magee Trojans fell just short of the North Forrest Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Timothy Craft was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Jonte Lee was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Magee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Forrest, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Magee will challenge Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Terry's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Magee's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Forrest, they are taking a road trip to take on Puckett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Puckett will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something North Forrest surely won't give up without a fight.
