The East Wake Warriors will square off against the Rolesville Rams at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. East Wake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6  runs per game  this season.
East Wake proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by 18) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a  run and slipped past C.B. Aycock  8-7.
 Madison Keith made a splash no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and five unearned) runs off   eight  hits (and not a single walk). Keith was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news,  Katelyn Smith was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Alissa Flood, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 East Wake  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile, Rolesville was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  an  18-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millbrook. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  on Wednesday (ten), the Rams still had to take the loss.
  Marissa D'Antonio made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.  Gianna D'Antonio was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 East Wake is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record  this season. As for Rolesville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
Rolesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  East Wake has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.2  hits per game. It's a different story for Rolesville, though, as  they've been averaging 10.8  hits. Given East Wake's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
 East Wake beat Rolesville 7-4  in their previous meeting  back in March. Do  the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
