Basketball Game Preview: Drew Dragons vs. San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines

Drew and San Francisco Waldorf are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Drew Dragons will be playing at home against the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drew knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully San Francisco Waldorf likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Drew came up short against Pinewood and fell 81-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (62), the Dragons still had to take the loss.

Kian Chan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 22 points and five boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Ordonez Reyes, who had 15 points.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Waldorf lost to Gateway on the road by a 57-42 margin on Friday. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

San Francisco Waldorf's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Drew, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.

Drew strolled past San Francisco Waldorf in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 72-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was San Francisco Waldorf's Ben Sarig, who went 11 for 18 en route to 27 points. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Drew still be able to contain Sarig? There's only one way to find out.
