Baseball Recap: Juniata Triumphs

While Juniata's victory against East Juniata wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Gage Harlon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Juniata: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-5-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Houtz, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Juniata now has a winning record of 6-5-1. As for East Juniata, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Juniata and East Juniata will both be playing Susquenita the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Indians will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
